Praia de Dona Ana or Dona Ana Beach, is the most famous beach in Lagos, and one of the most photographed in the Algarve.
It has been named many times as one of the best beaches in the world. Pristine sand, crystal-clear water and scenery straight off a postcard.
What to see at Praia de Dona Ana
Sunrise and sunset from this beach are sublime, as is the view from the top of the cliffs.
At Praia de Dona Anayou can try water sports such as sailing, paragliding and water skiing.
It also has good conditions for diving, thanks to the rich marine life and flora around here.
Facilities and access
It sits between rocky cliffs, and you get down via a long flight of steps, so it is not recommended for people with reduced mobility.
It holds a Blue Flag and has toilet facilities, along with a restaurant and a car park.
