Golden Clube Cabanas

 

The Golden Clube Cabanas, a family-run project from the area, is probably one of the best known (and most pioneering) places to stay around here. It was, after all, one of the first developments to get going in Cabanas, and today it's one with plenty of options for grown-ups and little ones alike.

For families with one or more children, the Golden Clube Cabanas is a great choice, for several reasons. Here's what we made of it.

The Golden Cabanas is one of the most practical places to stay in Cabanas

If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Cabanas, you have children, or you simply want an easy time of it without spending too much, with the important parts of a restful holiday already sorted, this is a great option.

Whether you're travelling as a family or as a couple, you can plan your entire stay in the Algarve around this place. You can wake up in this lovely spot and head down to breakfast, go off to the beach (the local one or any other nearby that takes your fancy), and come back for lunch or dinner. You can go for a walk along the lagoon, or around the village of Cabanas itself.

It isn't far from the beautiful town of Tavira, so popping over for a stroll and coming back in the evening is no trouble at all.

If you're with children and they come back from the beach worn out, there's plenty else for them to do. If you book full board, you can have dinner here too. And when you're travelling with children and everything is sorted this easily, you can genuinely call it a holiday.

Children's activities included in your stay

The room rate includes access to the three pools (for babies, children and adults), the evening shows, children's entry to the Casa da Criança (games and activities) and the boat that takes you over to the beach and brings you back to the hotel.

One of the strengths of the Golden Clube Cabanas is the daily programme of activities, especially during the hottest months of the year, when young and old alike can relax and enjoy themselves.

There's everything from sport on the hotel's pitches to evening shows, music and no end of other things.

And Cabanas beach?

The beach is closer than you might think. A boat ride of roughly two minutes takes you across the lagoon to Cabanas beach. A superb Algarve beach, crystal clear and beautifully warm.

It's a very calm beach, perfect for children thanks to its gentle waves, especially in summer.
