Located in the area of Quarteira (Loulé) a few minutes' drive from Albufeira, you'll find the best water park in the Algarve: Aquashow Park Hotel.
The park is split into water rides and theme park rides, with at least 10 things to do in each.

The Aquashow theme park
As you walk in, you come to the theme park rides: the rollercoaster, the Air Race, Speed Race, Aquafly, areas for reptile and bird shows, and the sea lion interaction pool (paid separately).
This part of the park has green spaces where you can settle in, and even a picnic area.
You're allowed to bring your own food, though there's also a restaurant and kiosks selling snacks.

Aquashow water park
Once you reach the water rides, you'll find the complex of pools and colourful slides spread across grounds that are clean and well looked after.
White Fall, Free Fall (32 metres high), foam slides, wave pool, the Aqualandia children's area, tube slides, swimming pool, cobra and lazy river.
More than enough to keep you busy for a whole day at the park.

Aquashow hotel
If you plan your trip well in advance, you can stay at the hotel, which gets booked up quickly in summer.
The facilities are new and the service doesn't disappoint.
In summer the price includes entry to the water park. All year round you have access to the gym, the spa with jacuzzi and the restaurants.
